When we started making jig heads we were making them for our own personal use. We were wanting jig heads that had a larger and stronger hook than the ones that were already on the market. After testing several different hooks we found the Mustad Ultra Point 1/0 hook allowed us to boat flip 2 pound plus crappie without any issues whatsoever. We use these hooks in our 1/8th oz and in our 1/16th oz jig head we use a Mustad Ultra Point number 2 which is very strong as well.
We love crappie fishing and everything about crappie. The scientific name for crappie is Pomoxis, so that is how we decided on the name for our jig heads.
